At the beginning of our bedroom/bathroom renovation, Marva Don took the time to truly understand our vision. I had a specific idea of how I wanted this space to “feel” and Marva Don easily translated my desires into the peaceful, restful, soothing space I dreamed about. Marva is a gem to work with. She has great insight into color, furniture selection, and accessories. It was fun for us to see the samples she would bring to our home — and to play a role in making decisions based on her input. We would love to have Marva Don design other rooms for us in the future. In our opinion, she is the best of the best!

We are the Finnegans and we are thrilled to provide this recommendation for Marva Don. My husband and I live an older ranch home and have a five year plan to update its decor and remodel some of the rooms. We decided to start with our family room. I had lots of ideas for the room but found myself quickly becoming overwhelmed. I knew I needed help from an expert and decided to hire an interior designer. When I came across Marva Don’s Decorating Den Interiors website I knew I had found the person who would be part of this exciting journey.  

From our first consultation meeting Marva put my husband and me at ease. She has a very engaging presence and we had an instant rapport. Marva Don spent a lot of time getting to know us and learning about our vision for the room. We decided to hire Marva to design the room and also to purchase the furniture because of her direct relationship with the manufacturers and the extensive product selection.

We found Marva to be an extremely talented designer. She was able to help us create an inviting and comfortable room while always being mindful of our budget. Marva even convinced my husband to do a bit of remodeling in the room, which gave us more useful space and made the room look bigger and brighter.

We also really liked that Marva stayed with us through the entire installation process and was our advocate for any damage issues that naturally occur when transporting furniture from the manufacturer to the home. And during the entire project we continually saw the high performance expectations that Marva had of herself and anyone who worked on the project.

Marva is an exceptional person who really enjoys her work and it shows magnificently in the final reveal. We are now looking forward with excitement to working with Marva on our next project, which is re-imagining our living room.  

Marva Don has been making my house beautiful since I moved into it 4 years ago. We started with my guest bathroom where I really wanted a “Wow” factor.  Marva Don came up an amazing design for a shower curtain. My guests always compliment this room and the shower area and usually do say “Wow!”. Next, Marva Don found some furniture and rugs that were perfect for my entry way, master bedroom and bath.

Now, we have just launched into the biggest project of all – to completely refurnish my Living Room and re-decorate the Guest Bedroom. Marva Don is so much fun to work with. She is amazingly creative while also being conscious of details. She works to stay within my budget. Marva Don is a fantastic designer. I will be sad when I run out of projects to involve her in!

For many people, this is one of the most important qualities, and one reason why people are “afraid” of decorators—they’re afraid that they’ll be pushed into spending more than they want to.
