Project Overview:

A master bath is updated to a modern retreat. Shimmering wallpaper in a Greek key pattern sets the stage. A marble and nickel accent tile highlight the inlaid shower with a built-in seat topped with quartz. Chrome fixtures and crystal light fixtures give the glam.

To create more space, the outdated jetted tub was replaced with a sleek stand-alone tub. After removing the tub, over 2 feet was added to the width of the bathroom. The clients wanted a larger spa shower, so the existing shower was increased by 12 inches in width. This allowed room for a built-in shower bench. A rain shower, body spray system and a hand sprayer outfitted the spa shower.

Finishes were kept soft and light to give an illusion of more space. A large font of Greek key wallpaper in silver and gray was chosen for the walls. A marble like 24 x 24 ceramic tile was chosen for the floor. The shower was constructed with 12 x 24 tiles of the same material. Both tile selections helped to give an illusion of more space and an elegant look.

A new taller vanity was designed to allow maximum storage with bigger draws and pull out trays behind the cabinet doors. An insert design was chosen for the doors – the clean design gives a modern look and a classic design. For the shower, an accent tile of marble and metal was chosen, and a vertical insert was done on the back wall. Quartz was chosen for the countertops because it is more durable. The acrylic and chrome pulls continue the modern feel.

A pair of beveled mirrors were hung above the vanities. Above the mirrors, a pair of crystal bar lights were installed. A grand crystal chandelier was chosen for the center of the bathroom.
To dress the windows, a motorized sheer shade was paired with a Roman shade. A textured fabric with a little shimmer paired with a simple metal trim completes the look.
